They're After My Raygun DEMO v0.225
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
The demo featuring the first two levels of my unfinished Twin-stick Shoot Em Up and a randomly generated endless mode.
I recently replayed this and it was better than I remembered. By far the best level is level 4 which is not in this demo. Maybe I'll add it somepoint.
Looking back this game has an increabaly convoluted and elaberate scoring system. I did this on purpose just seeing how deep the rabbit hole could go but looking at it now I can't figure out how it actually works.
I know that some sections of levels loop until you clear the enemies or fullfill requirements but there is no clear messaging to what those are. The game will slow down in and speed up along with the music and this is tied to the scoring system and the way level sections loop too but I can't figure out how.
Honestly, this is a confusing game and a bit weird but it's not terrible. Lets look at it as a first attempt that threw a lot of ideas at the wall and made an interesting mess.
If you figure out how the scoring system works leave a comment. :)
Features:
5 difficulty settings including Custom mode.
Supports up to 8 player local multiplayer.
In addition to twin stick controls it supports being played with keyboard and other non-twin-stick controllers (though not the recommended way to play).
